Below is a tutorial explaining how your students can memorize two black keys and three black keys on the piano and how the C (cat) key relates.

Dallas Dips Donuts

For the next few days, students will be working hard to find Middle C at their pianos.

We will be performing Dallas Dips Donuts to show mastery of Middle C.

September 21 - 23

Piano Fingers

Students will be focused on learning the numbers of their fingers. We will sing a song (see video below) and draw our finger numbers.

What can I do at home?

Ask your child to point to each finger and say their number. As a guide you may click on Unit 1to find a guide on our finger numbers.

September 12 - 16

Wow!!! I can't believe we have already made it to the 4th week of school!

Our Kinder Kiddos have already made great progress in the piano lab and I'm confident they will be rock star pianists by the end of the year!

This week we will be exploring loud/soft and short/long sounds on our piano. We will create and have a great time doing it. 

Also, we will introduce our piano fingers. 

Click on Unit 1 and you will find a picture that models the numbers of our piano fingers. 

*bonus: any student who brings a picture of their hands and their finger numbers will receive a golden to ticket!

First Week of PIANO!!!

I am so excited to meet all of you and start the new year!

This week we are exploring our creative side. Students are learning about the different features on their pianos and creating their own sounds! It is going to be a lot of fun!!
